The Bowie Arizona Flagpole

Bowie Arizona is home to Ft Bowie (a 19th-century outpost of the United States Army) and the birthplace of John“Raven”Rambo. As Flags for The Flagless made their way to the historic site, they noticed a decently sized flagpole with no flag being displayed.

Naturally, the Flags for the Flagless Team jumped into action and flew a brand-new American Flag on their noticeably barren flagpole.

In the Rambo IV film, Rambo confirms that he is from Bowie, Arizona when Sarah Miller asks him where he is from. He claims that it is a “small place” and that he worked horses when he lived there a long time ago. When she asks of the whereabouts of his family, he responds by saying that he doesn’t know if his father is even still alive. At the end of the film, Rambo does indeed return to his horse farm home in Arizona, showing Rambo’s Arizona home on screen for the first time.

“When you’re pushed, killing’s as easy as breathing. When the killing stops in one place, it starts in another, but that’s okay… ’cause you’re killing for your country. But it ain’t your country who asks you, it’s a few men up top who want it.”
